Comedian Shawty Shawty has alleged the death of Migos rapper TakeOff happened over a game of loaded dice.
The claim was already made by the Police, who said a shootout broke out following a “lucrative” dice game outside 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston. They also said TakeOff wasn’t involved in the confrontation and was an innocent spectator. Now, Shawty has come forward with more information about the incident.
On the Ugly Money Podcast, he revealed: “I have to say ‘alleged’ because I was told this over the phone from a reliable source…They say Quavo dominates in a whole lot of different things — basketball, all of this. So they say that they had been shooting basketball earlier, and then they got to the bowling alley, and they said it was a dice game.”
Shawty added: “They say that Quavo noticed that the dice were not right, and that’s where the argument started. Everybody know Quavo got a mouth on him, everybody know Quavo would talk junk. I don’t think that was the atmosphere to talk shit in. I think they were on somebody’s tab, and you gotta respect [that].”
Last week, Patrick Clark, the man charged with murdering Takeoff, was released from jail after someone posted a $1 million bail bond. Clark’s legal team securely saw the bond amount lowered from $2 million after they claimed it was “excessive”.
His team then tried and failed to have the amount reduced again to $300,000 and decided to post the $1 million despite being able to appeal the decision. Clark has now been placed under house arrest and must always wear a GPS-tracking device as part of his bail conditions.
Letitia Quinones, Clark’s attorney, has stated, “Neither Patrick nor his family posted the bond in this case. A concerned citizen and family friend who believes in Patrick’s innocence posted the bond on his behalf. We believe Patrick is innocent, and at the appropriate time, the evidence will reveal that to be the case.”
